Luxury diving under sail — polished cabins, a dedicated dive dhoni and the Maldives' headline reefs
The Carpe Vita is a refined luxury dive liveaboard for Indian travellers who want the comfort of a five-star boat married to a serious week of Maldives diving. Larger and more polished than entry-level safari boats, the 12-cabin Carpe Vita offers air-conditioned ensuite cabins with sea-view windows, a teak sundeck with loungers and a jacuzzi, a spacious indoor saloon, and a dedicated dive dhoni so you never haul kit on the mothership. The seven-night route concentrates on the Central Atolls — North and South Malé and Ari — diving the marquee sites: Maaya Thila, Fish Head (Mushimasmingili Thila), Manta Point at Lankan, Banana Reef and HP Reef, with a whale-shark snorkel search off South Ari. Free nitrox for certified divers, a camera-rinse station and an experienced cruise director make this a favourite of underwater photographers. Indian dietary requests (vegetarian, Jain, no-pork) are handled with advance notice. The boat departs the Velana International Airport jetty in Malé — airport transfer included — and runs largely sheltered crossings, so seasickness is rarely an issue. For couples who both dive, or anyone wanting their week underwater to come with genuine on-board luxury, the Carpe Vita is one of our strongest recommendations.
